What Our Patients Say
Dr. Adams is a unique dentist because he combines “big city” clinical dentistry with “small town” care and communication that will make you feel right at home. It’s the best of both worlds, and it really is something to smile about!
Dr. Adams completed his Doctorate of Dental Surgery at the UNC School of Dentistry. He was awarded the Monte G. Miska award his senior year for excellence in Prosthodontics, the science of restorative dentistry with crowns, bridges and dentures. In 2012 Dr. Adams was the recipient of the American Dental Association Golden Apple Award for New Dentist Leadership, an honor given to ONE dentist in the United States annually.
What is Invisalign®
Invisalign® is the ‘invisible' way to straighten teeth without the metal or wires needed for braces. Using a series of clear, removable aligners to gradually straighten teeth, Invisalign® combines 21st century technology and revolutionary manufacturing to customize a treatment for each individual patient. Invisalign® works using aligners that look a little bit like a sports mouth guard but are a lot thinner and less noticeable. These aligners are specifically moulded to your individual requirements and fit over your upper and lower teeth.
These aligners are designed to gradually move your teeth into the desired position. Every 2 to 3 weeks you'll be given a new set of aligners which build on the work of the previous ones. The length of treatment is dependent on the severity of individual cases. Treatment may vary from anywhere between 6 months to 2 years with an average treatment taking around 12 to 14 months.

Frequently Asked Questions
Because crooked teeth, improper jaw positioning, and a misaligned bite can cause a myriad of problems as you age, Invisalign® is as much an investment in your oral health as it is a investment in your self-confidence.
In many circumstances, Invisalign® aligners aren't necessary. When you visit us for your complimentary consultation, we will provide you with an accurate, honest diagnosis. If you don't actually need orthodontic treatment, we won't try to push you into getting it.

Yes, for most patients the treatment course is fairly permanent. Teeth will drift over time, regardless of orthodontic treatment, but once you are finished with the braces and the retainer there is minimal upkeep necessary to maintain the position of your teeth.
Of course there are. Our practice won't lecture or judge you for your dental problems. Every patient is unique, and we understand that sometimes circumstances can lead to dental problems a patient might find embarrassing. Rest assured, our practice is proud of your choice to pursue a healthy smile.
Of course not. The consultation is completely free of charge. We are limited in how many consultations we can schedule during any given period, so make sure to schedule yours as soon as possible. You’ve got nothing to lose.
Our talented team will work with you to see if your insurance company will cover your orthdontic treatment. If for any reason they are not covered, we will let you know and will work with you to develop a financial plan if needed. Our patients often tell us that it's worth the investment to purchase orthodontic aligners.
